What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Some challenges my group faced while selecting an analyzing sources was having to pick between two really good sources for one category, or trying to pick a source in a category all of our sources were a bit weak ing. We overcame this issue by having everyone explain their source and how it would best contribute to answering our research question, so we could decide from there.

Today in class we worked on selecting our final sources from all the sources we collected individually.

Doing this helped us all come together more as a group and focus on how we could use our sources to answer our research question.

Write about an adventure you would like to go on.

One adventure that I would like to go to is on a trip to visit museums and monuments in places like Italy and Greece because I've always seen pictures of them and I feel like it would be a whole different experience to see them in person. I've always wanted to visit places like that. Today we started looking at Emilt Dickinsons poetry. What we are doing can help me learn more about how to better understand poetry, as it is something I have always struggled with doing.

Describe one thing that makes you different from other people.

One thing that makes me different from other people is that I feel like my personality and the way I act can change extremely based on the people I'm around and the environment. When I'm around my friends I can be super loud and I don't really act very shy, and on the outside it would seem like I'm and extrovert. If I;m alone though, and around a lot of people I don't know, I just like to stay quiet and I usually won't talk to anyone unless they talk to me first, and my social anxiety is basically on 10.  Today in class we worked on analyzing quotes from Emily Dickinsons poetry. Doing this has helped me understand how certain metaphors in poetry are used to convey the theme, when it wasn't as clear to me before.

People sometimes feel the need to step away from their normal routines or environments in order to better understand themselves. Describe a time when you needed distance from a situation, place, or group of people in order to think more clearly or gain perspective. What did that experience teach you about yourself?

One time I needed distance was when I felt overwhelmed by school and all my extracurricular activities and I decided to take a step back by spending more time alone and limiting distractions like social media. At first, it felt strange not being as involved, but it gave me space to actually think about what was stressing me out and what I really needed to focus on. During that time, I realized that I tend to take on too much at once and don’t always give myself time to do it all. Having that distance helped me clear my mind, organize my priorities, and come back feeling more in control. It taught me that stepping away isn’t a bad thing. Instead, it can be really important for understanding yourself and making better decisions. Today we read chapters 2 and 3 and took different quotes from each chapter to categorize into themes, along with an explanation for each. Doing this helped me to better understand some of the important recurring concepts in the book, and also made me dig dee...
